Baby Steps Resolutions

Someone asked me today what my New Year's Resolution was for 2012 or did I not believe in that silliness? That got me thinking, what are my resolutions this year? I have decided to make some rather small changes in my life this year. One of them is to only commit to doing my best and making good choices for the day ahead of me. One day at a time. And I will commit to the positive choices ahead of time, at night, so in the morning I know where I'm headed and how I'll get there. I don't need to overwhelm myself by grandiose ideals, that when viewed from my current position seem impossible to attain so why not quit now and forget about it? My commitment to myself and family is to commit to 2-3 things that I would like to accomplish or need to be accomplished that day and see those through. Then I can enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done. In this way, I will take baby steps to a healthier, more sucessful, closer-to-my-goals-self by the end of the year. My challenge to you this year is what are your goals? What step will you take each day, each week toward that goal? We have 365 days in a year and 52 weeks. Break it down however you like, but that's a range of 52-365 baby steps to get where you want to go. Sounds doable to me. Go get your health back! You and your loved ones deserve it.
